Located in the Okavango Delta, 4 Rivers boasts exclusive use of the western side of the renowned and extensive Kwara Private Concession.
This is a wild and isolated wilderness with excellent biodiversity, a confluence of waterways, open plains, forested islands, and Mopane woodlands – making it home to African wild dogs, lions, elephants, leopards, and sable antelope… to mention just a few. 4 Rivers is a short 15-minute drive from its own private airstrip. A wide variety of activities, including game drives, night drives, walking and seasonal mokoro trips, are all on offer at 4 Rivers. The Camp is tucked away in ancient woodland and looks across a permanent small lagoon to Maboa Island. Sitting on raised wooden decks, the camp has 9 large meru tents including a family unit. All the tents have indoor and outdoor showers and children from the age of 6 years old are welcome. In additional, each tent has an elevated, private viewing deck with outside seating, spacious lounge areas with armchairs, ceiling fan, tea and coffee station, charging station (international multi-plugs and USB), writing desk, tea and coffee facility. There are also open hanging spaces and shelving for clothes, digital safe, spare blankets, mosquito net, insect repellents, an emergency horn, and USB charger next to the bed. The Family tented suite comprises a standard en- suite tent (with outdoor shower) connected to a smaller tent with its own en suite bathroom (extra bed can be added for a third child). The main communal area includes a bar, dining room, curio shop and a selection of smaller lounge areas that allow guests to enjoy the peace of the Delta. The camp is run completely on solar power with the highest of eco-standards. Activities include Game Drives which allow for off-road tracking, along with night drives. Emphasising its dreamy waterfront setting, the entire main camp’s structure is 'wall-less' with exceptional views of the channel and a water-level fire pit. There are spacious open-sided dining, lounge and bar areas below thatched roofing, fire pit area and small reference library. The Camp also boasts a swimming pool. |
