Window seats are now guaranteed at Shinde, Kanana and Okuti on all game drives.. and with a maximum of 4 passengers per vehicle, game viewing is certainly more comfortable.
 
For families: both Kanana and Okuti have family accommodation, and the camps both take children from the age of 7 years old; ALL activities available and no private vehicle required. The Botswana Family Package combines Kanana, Okuti and Young Explorers.

Botswana's late rains have not disappointed, and the Makgadikgadi is once again transformed and teeming with new life. The water should remain for several weeks, which may delay the start of the quad bike excursions - usually commencing on 16 April.

However, there are heaps of babies to be seen - meerkats, zebras, wildebeest....

Kubu Quad Bike Expedition operates from 1 June to 30 September 2016, from Jack’s Camp, San Camp and Camp Kalahari (weather permitting), as you set off on your quad to The Lost Island of Baobabs. This spectacular journey in the heart of The Makgadikgadi Salt Pans is completely extraordinary.

There is also a new policy regarding the minimum number of Guests required in order to operate the Kubu Quad Bike Expedition. It will now operate with a minimum of 2 Guests at the nightly rate of the chosen camp plus an additional supplement for the 2 nights when we are fly camping at The Lost Island of Baobabs.

As of Friday 18 March 2016, SA Airlink flies between Cape Town and Maun. At present the schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Flights depart Cape Town at 10:35 and arrive in Maun at 13:05. The return flight departs Maun at 13:35 and arrives back in Cape Town at 16:10.

Botswana was recently named the number 1 place to visit in 2016 by Lonely Planet, which also happens to the 50th celebration of the country's independence.

The route will appeal to travellers who want to combine a city experience in Cape Town with a Botswana bush safari, and allows for the shortest possible travelling time. The airline intends on increasing capacity on the route from August 2016 for peak season.

Airlink also operates daily services to Botswana between Johannesburg and Maun, as well as Johannesburg and Kasane.
