Day 1 Johannesburg/ Okavango Delta
Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport where you will be met by our representative and assisted with check in formalities for your flight to Maun Airport in Botswana.
At Maun Airport, you will clear customs and collect your luggage. An air charter company representative will meet you in the Arrivals Halls, and accompany you to the light aircraft for your 45 minute flight into Kadizora Camp, across the Okavango Delta.
Nestled beneath a majestic stand of trees and along a peninsula, with uninterrupted panoramic views of the Delta, the Camp has been set out to afford each of the luxury tents, complete privacy.
Days 2 and 3 Okavango Delta
Activities at Kadizora Camp include morning mekoro trips (dugout canoes) with island walks, and afternoon game drives. Fishing is offered on request and in season. Boat activities are also offered between April and October. There is the option to arrange a day trip to a traditional village. Visit the church, the clinic, local Primary school and meet family members of the camp staff.
A permanent life giving swamp, the Okavango Delta rises in the Angolan Highlands, and enters Botswana below Namibia’s Caprivi Strip region. It was once a part of Lake Makgadikgadi, but is now home to over 200 000 large mammals, many of which migrate during the summer rains and return during the cooler and dryer winter months.
This part of the Okavango Delta is home to mammals such as: lions, cheetahs, leopards, wild dog, elephants, buffalo, hippo, giraffe, hyena, zebra, kudu, impala and many more! This aquatic region is also home to various bird, insect, fish and plant species - making it a safari paradise.
For an additional cost if staying in a standard tent, a hot air balloon safari can be arranged from Kadizora Camp – a magical way of experiencing this truly beautiful part of Africa. (01 April – 15 October). The balloon safari is included for those guests staying in the Luxury Tents.
Day 4 Maun Airport
After your morning activity and brunch, you will be chartered from Kadizora Camp back to Maun Airport, in time to check in for your scheduled flight back to Johannesburg International Airport.
