Botswana Safari Areas
Not sure what to include on your Safari?
Botswana is blessed with a number of fascinating and diverse Safari Areas, making a visit the highlight of any African Safari. Botswana is famed for the unique and beautiful Okavango Delta, the extensive Central Kalahari Game Reserve and Chobe National Park. Although the Savute and Linyanti areas are actually part of the Chobe National Park, we have split them off (in terms of information), as these areas are well known on their own, and are also quite different from the Northern Chobe, which has the River has its border.
Likewise, referring to the Kalahari can be a little mis-leading, as this is a vast 'sand-mass' which also includes a large part of northern South Africa and eastern Namibia. The whole of Botswana is, effectively, part of the Kalahari. Again, however, certain areas are better known than others, such as the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Nxai Pan and the Makgadikgadi Pans (the latter two parks now form one larger Reserve).
