Elephant Valley Lodge is a luxury tented Camp situated in the Kasane Forest Reserve, which lies between the Chobe National Park in Botswana and the Matetsi Wildlife Conservancy, south of the Kazangula border crossing.
The Lodge overlooks a water hole which has a constant throng of wild life visitors, both day and night. Elephant Valley Lodge offers accommodation in twenty Meru style safari tents, accommodating a maximum of forty guests at any time. The tents are situated amongst well-manicured lawns, along the edge of the Valley. Tents have twin beds, an en-suite shower and toilet, tea and coffee-making facilities, mini safes, fans and a covered deck. Some of the tents face onto the water hole, and these are slightly more expensive than the Valley Tents. The lodge facilities include a swimming pool, a lounge, an outdoor dining area, a curio shop, a game-viewing hide at the water hole, and a bush dinner venue. The whole camp is set under a forest of knob thorn trees, where white back vultures are often spotted. The Chobe region is home to the largest population of wild elephant in the world, and Elephant Valley has been fenced to keep the many elephant from wandering through the camp. They now walk around the camp boundary and you will be sure to hear them as you drift off to sleep. Elephant Valley offers morning boat cruises along the Chobe River – morning cruises are less busy than the afternoon cruises, and afternoon game drives into the Chobe National Park, where sundowners are served. |
