Moremi Crossing Camp

Moremi Crossing Camp is a new tented camp, this Botswana Lodge is set on a palm-fringed island, overlooking the Okavango Delta’s famed Chief’s Island.

Accommodation in this Botswana Safari Camp is in 16 simple, yet luxurious, tents, including a Family Tent and a Honeymoon Tent. Moremi Crossing Camp has been designed in a fully eco-friendly manner, and used the latest in solar and waste disposal technology.

This Botswana Lodge's main building has a large open plan deck (built on different levels) allowing for a great view over the Boro River and onto Chief’s Island. Dining room, bar and lounge are covered by a large thatched roof.

At Moremi Crossing, there are a number of small private lounge areas, which allow for comfort, privacy and space. From here there is a shaded decked area that leads to the pool. The entire camp is also shaded by magnificent Lala palms, ebony, mangosteen, sausage and giant fig trees. There is also a Curio Shop where you may find some mementos to take home to family and friends.

Activities at Moremi Crossing Camp are personalised, and guiding is of a high level. Half or full-day activities are on offer.

YOu can enjoy a mokoro excursion (traditional dug-out), where you glide along the channels of the Okavango, with their papyrus lined banks. Should you wish to do a full day trip, you get to combine the water excursion, with short bush walks, and a delicious picnic lunch.

A bush walk is the best way to explore the Botswana wilderness, under the guidance and education of your own personal guide. Bush walks can be enjoyed independently of the mokoro excursion.

If you are feeling a little more adventurous, there you might enjoy a night or two camping out… your mokoro is packed with basic equipment and food, and your guide will find an island to set up camp.

Moremi Crossing Camp also boasts small motor-boats, which allow for cruises on the Boro River itself. You can enjoy drifting along a lagoon, and watch the sun set.

The Camp now also offers morning and afternoon game drives.
