Situated within the same concession as its sister camp, Chitabe, Chitabe Lediba is far smaller. Neighbouring the Moremi Game Reserve, the Chitabe concession lies in the south-east Okavango Delta, and comprises 28 000 hectares of habitats, ranging from savannah to tree-lined islands, to floodplains. These habitats attract a huge diversity of game.
Offering an intimate safari experience, Chitabe Lediba has two family units, with adjoining bedrooms. In total there are five meru-style tents, built on raised decks. The en-suite bathrooms have outdoor showers with breathtaking views. Chitabe Lediba’s main areas consist of a dining area, a lounge and a pool, all overlooking a small lagoon, which provides water to an abundance of game. There are also two elevated platforms perfect for game observation decks. Chitabe Lediba Camp offers both morning and afternoon game drives to explore the concession. Afternoon drives usually return after dark enabling guests the chance of spotting nocturnal species like genet, civet, serval, and porcupine and, on the rare occasion, the aardwolf. Game drives take place in the same area as Chitabe Camp's guests, so the viewing experience is identical. Wildlife occurring here includes elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and cheetah; as well as zebra, tsessebe, giraffe, kudu and impala. |
