Camp Savuti is traditional tented property, positioned on the edge of the famed Savute Channel. This area has developed a well-deserved reputation over the years as a prime predator area in Botswana - particularly for lion, spotted hyena, and cheetah.
The Savuti Channel was once part of a River, until it dried up in 1982. The most likely cause being a subtle tectonic shift; by 2010 the Savute Channel starting to flow again, allowing visitors some wonderful sites for some seasons to come. Camp Savuti is a small, intimate camp of just 5 East-African style tents, and accommodates just 10 guests - in Classic Safari style. The tented accommodation is spacious, en suite (complete with flush toilet and Safari shower). In addition, the tents have all been positioned to allow for privacy and a degree of exclusivity; along with unique views. Your view is further enhanced, as each tent is set on a raised wooden platform. The main Camp area is home to the comfortable and intimate lounge, bar and dining area which overlooks the Savute Channel. Camp Savuti offers extensive morning and afternoon drives in the Chobe National Park. Guests explore this fascinating land, on extensive game drives, and see a good number of species, including elephant, leopard, lion, wild dog, giraffe and zebra. In addition, there is a great diversity of bird species. |
