The Garden Lodge

The Garden Lodge is situated in the town of Kasane, on the banks of the Chobe River, 70 km from Victoria Falls, 16km from Kazungula (the meeting point of Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Zambia) and 300 km from the Okavango Delta.  The Chobe National Park, with its estimated 100 000 elephants, huge herds of buffalo and daily sightings of lion is only 2 kilometres away. 

With only 22 beds, this is the intimate Chobe experience you have been wishing for! The lodge has eight bedroom (4 standard, 3 family size and 1 double), each with its own bathroom and private verandah overlooking the Chobe River. 

There is a lounge and a dining room, a garden boma and a swimming pool.  

Guests have the choice of a continental or English breakfast, with lunches served buffet style with a choice of hot dishes, salads, cold meat and cheeses.  Dinner is a set menu.  Fresh bread is baked daily.

Garden Lodge lives us to its name, as with the combination of unlimited water and constant sunshine, hibiscus, frangipani, bougainvillea, banana and paw paw grow in the garden profusely.  Chobe Garden Lodge’s activities include game viewing by vehicle and boat into the Chobe National Park. Chobe game viewing is legendary, with the plentiful water attracting the game, especially during the dry season, elephants are seen in their hundreds and buffalo in their thousands. 

Lions are common, as are impala, sable antelope, giraffe, warthog and numerous other species.  Traditionally, early morning game drives and late afternoon boat cruises are the safari routine; but Garden Lodge is flexible in every way!
